This role has a starting salary of £52,047 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.
We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Project Manager to join our fantastic Change team, within Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS)!
The team is based in Woodhatch and consists of a number of project professionals that provide a supportive and encouraging environment from which to work. The role is a 12-month secondment opportunity that offers hybrid working, with 2 days a week spent in one of our SFRS offices.

About the Role
Are you passionate about driving positive change and making a real impact? The Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Change Team is looking for dynamic Senior Project Managers to lead and deliver key projects that align with our core priorities: Assets, People and Culture, and Delivery of Services.

Our Change Team plays a crucial role in managing and supporting projects that bring about meaningful improvements. This is a highly varied role, and on a day-to-day basis you can expect to be involved in:
* Collaborating with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop and implement service improvement and efficiency projects
* Managing risks, issues, budgets, timelines, change control, and documentation to ensure successful project outcomes
* Providing direction and support to your team
* Assisting managers in achieving their objectives through the application of project management principles
* Contributing to cross-service improvement initiatives and promoting a one-team working culture
* Reporting on project progress and engaging with stakeholders across the service, including presenting to the Service Leadership Team
Please note, the 18-month secondment opportunity may include line management responsibilities, whereas the 12-month opportunity will not. You will have the option to select which position you are applying for.

* Ability to manage a wide range of complex projects or programmes, demonstrating the successful delivery of organisational change
* Ability to carry out reviews of major functions or processes and work flexibly to meet changing demands and priorities
* Demonstrable leadership qualities, including excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
* Ability to work comfortably with colleagues and managers at all levels and with a wide range of stakeholders including Members
* Experience working at management level demonstrating successful managing, coaching and developing of staff
This role will require travel around the county.
