Job Description
Our client, a leading £5bn pan-European real estate lender, seeks an experienced Strategic Operations Vice President, for its London office.
They are seeking a versatile individual to serve as both a business analyst and project manager. You will assist the COO across multiple workstreams, and assuming direct ownership of certain responsibilities currently held by the COO.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with strategic consulting (financial services) experience from a leading consulting firm. The successful candidate will have the ability not only to strategise, but also deliver and implement strategy.
Salary is dependent on experience, up to a maximum of £115,000 + discretionary, performance-related bonus + benefits.
* Take ownership of creating and developing business processes and policies, ensuring their planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement. This role is essential for supporting new product, platform, and country strategies, including a strong emphasis on European markets.
* Collaborate with the COO to develop and execute operational strategies, initially focusing on supporting our expansion into Europe and new product deployment.
* Oversee and coordinate cross-functional projects, including technology development, process improvements, operational policy updates, and international expansion, ensuring attention to both details and the bigger picture.
* Translate business needs into detailed technology specifications, manage project planning, ensure rollout and delivery, and specify new development requirements and testing.
* Identify and implement new software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Embrace the MVP concept, run weekly sprints, and gather team input for continuous improvement.
* Discover third-party data sources in new markets to enhance underwriting and portfolio management of loans.
* Review and integrate operational processes and policies into our existing in-house technology platform. Stay current with tech trends and ensure ongoing enhancement.
* Draft the operational design for underwriting, portfolio management, decision-making processes, and funding mechanisms across various products and countries, with input from multiple stakeholders. Demonstrate a hands-on ability to generate content.
* Assist the COO in preparing presentation materials and stakeholder reports for accurate and timely communication, while exhibiting accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
* Develop operational KPls, integrate local data sources in new markets, optimize processes and policies, and collaborate to support new product launches with a focus on end-to-end process, people, technology infrastructure, and performance.
