Director of DtC Consumer Sales & Hospitality
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of DTC & Hospitality to join the Argyle Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Hospitality, this role is responsible for growing the DTC business and championing the spirit of guest experience, hospitality and community at Argyle. They partner with key stakeholders to set the vision and financial goals for the Argyle DTC business, align on the strategic plan, and lead the DTC team to execute the tactical plan that delivers against the plan across each sub-channel. This role is based in Dundee, OR and is a salary, exempt position, scheduled Monday - Friday and occasional weekends to assist events, requesting the incumbent work 40-50+ hours per week onsite. Minimum Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated leadership experience, managing diverse teams
2. 10+ years of hospitality and sales experience required
3. P&L management and annual strategic planning experience desired
4. Hospitality principles and the inner workings of DTC sales channels (wine club, tasting room, outbound sales, email/eComm, and events)
5. Understanding of the wine industry, including the laws that pertain to direct-to-consumer sales
6. College degree preferred preferably in business, marketing, hospitality management, or equivalent degree
7. Experience developing and managing CAPEX projects
8. Proficient technical abilities to utilize our DTC tech stack (Commerce7, Enolytics, RedChirp, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
1. Create and communicate a long-term vision and financial plan for the Argyle DTC business
2. Develop annual business plan with clear financial targets and a tactical marketing plan that’s designed to deliver against our goals
3. Develop a consumer-centric hospitality and member services strategy that attracts and retains new and loyal consumers
4. Drive portfolio, pricing and programming decisions across the DTC channel while aligning with key stakeholders
5. Ensure that Argyle has a dynamic destination awareness strategy to drive visitation and establish Argyle as a pillar and hub in the community
6. Create a culture of accountability, fairness, teamwork, trust and transparency
7. Foster a vibrant team culture by promoting safety, well-being and a sense of belonging at work
8. Create growth and development plans for the DTC team and lead the team through the annual goal-setting and achievement cycle
9. Partner with Events Manager, Tasting Room Manager and Brand Marketing to maximize the Dundee campus for community, Club and trade events & experiences
10. Partner with Brand Manager and Director Operations to discuss issues/roadblocks and set priorities
