Milk Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a outstanding SEN school in Liverpool who are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with KS3 students with special educational needs. The role will begin after the half-term break, and the school is looking for a dedicated individual with a real passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with the students in a group setting alongside other support staff to help them engage with the curriculum, develop their communication skills, and manage any emotional or behavioral challenges. The role involves supporting the pupil during lessons, as well as providing help during break times to ensure positive social interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to KS3 students with additional learning needs, assisting them with accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
Utilize visual aids, communication strategies, and tailored resources to support the pupil’s understanding of lessons and tasks.
Support the pupil during break times and lunch periods, promoting positive social interactions and helping them develop their social and emotional skills.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to supporting the pupil’s development.
