As the firm continues to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team based in Walsall.
My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support Fee Earners in delivering exceptional legal services. As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of litigation matters by providing efficient and client-focused support.
The Role
\n
* Diary Management:
\n
o Maintain Fee Earner’s diary by scheduling meetings and appointments
o Coordinate reminders and follow-ups to support case progression
\n
* Client Interaction:
\n
o Deal with routine client correspondence and queries in a professional and timely manner
o Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone, ensuring a high standard of client care is consistently delivered
\n
* File Management:
\n
o Open and close client files in accordance with the firm’s procedures
o Create and maintain accurate client records on the firm’s database, ensuring compliance with Lexcel and internal requirements
o Maintain hard copy client files, including copying, storage and retrieval of information
\n
* Document Preparation:
\n
o Assist Fee Earners in preparing client correspondence, legal documents and enclosures for mailing
o Ensure client bills and related financial documentation are accurately prepared and delivered promptly
\n
* Financial Administration:
\n
o Request payments, record client account receipts, and manage financial records in line with the firm’s procedures
\n
* Searches and Reports:
\n
o Arrange searches, compile reports, and gather additional information as requested by the Fee Earner to support case preparation and progression
\n
* Confidentiality:
\n
o Ensure the confidentiality of all client and firm information, adhering to professional, legal and firm-specific standards
\n

You
\n
* Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, preferably in litigation
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
* A professional and client-focused demeanour with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
