We are delighted to be advertising a specialist clinical/counselling psychology post to progress and develop the psychology offer across all WCDS diagnostic and intervention pathways. We are looking for a dynamic clinical/counselling psychologist who has good insight and working knowledge of SEND and values multidisciplinary working.
The post holder will work as part of a progressive psychology team who operate within a larger multidisciplinary Child Development Service that provides assessment and intervention for children with neurodevelopmental differences. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with children who have neurodevelopmental differences; however, applicants who are enthusiastic about gaining experience of working in this specialty and who have a good knowledge of child development are encouraged to apply.
The WCDS Psychology team value working in creative and thoughtful ways, and there is often scope to develop projects in response to the needs of service users as well as the special interests of the professionals.
We are a diverse team of psychologists and we welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds as well as those with lived experience of neurodiversity.
The post holder will receive support and supervision from a senior Psychologist.
