Job Title: Senior Quantity SurveyorSalary: To: £60,000 per annum (Dependant upon skills and experience)Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Location: Walsall/Cambridge South Staffs Water has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Capital Investment project management office to lead and support a professional and trusted team of with the delivery of our investment programme.The role requires a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is self- motivated, can plan their own time accordingly and manage a variety of projects, simultaneously, to mitigate project risks, control supplier costs and maximise value by enhancing efficient ways of working.The RoleThe lifecycle of this role will see the successful candidate engaged on the project from design stage through to project completion, offering a wide range of opportunities to broaden their knowledge and experiences of the Water & Construction industries.Key responsibilities: Administering NEC3/NEC4 Contracts end to end from procurement through to final accountCapturing changes during the lifecycle of a project and coordinating with the clientAuthorising supplier work valuations and allocating costs to the correct budgetsBudget forecasting and analysing variances to forecastManagement of Circa. three employeesOwnership of Capital Investment Delivery ProjectsTrending performance measures set for our delivery partnersCommercial reporting at month end to internal and external stakeholdersOwning the supplier invoicing process to maintain cash flowsCommunicating with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basisMonthly site visits to regulate and sign off any Early WarningsTravel between Walsall and Cambridge offices What You'll NeedThe successful candidate will have:A full UK driving license A degree level education or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or ConstructionExcellent verbal and written communication skills as well as being fully conversant with Microsoft Office The ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levelsConfidence to lead in monthly commercial review meetingsA comprehensive understanding of the NEC3/4 form of contractWhat You'll Get in ReturnA competitive salary up to £60,000 per annumCompany pension with employer contribution.Store discount for personal shopping needs.24-hour helpline providing free and confidential advice to you and your family on financial, legal, marital and health.25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays) Holiday buy-back scheme (up to a max of 5 days)Eyecare vouchers - via SpecsaversEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)
