What is your focus as a Commissioning Engineer?
You will be at the heart of bringing automated warehouse systems to life—powering up, testing, and fine-tuning equipment on client sites across the UK. Working closely with our Controls Engineering, Installations, and Integration Testing teams, you will ensure each solution is commissioned safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What are your key responsibilities?
* Commission and test automated warehouse systems, including power-up, I/O checks, and safety validation
* Create and complete test documentation and commissioning reports
* Collaborate with suppliers to test PLC interfaces
* Support installation and engineering teams in producing accurate “as commissioned” documentation
* Diagnose and resolve faults with a structured approach to root cause analysis
What are we looking for?
* Formal engineering qualification—ideally apprenticeship-trained in electrical/electronic engineering
* Experience with Siemens PLC software (Simatic Manager and TIA Portal)
* Knowledge of automation safety systems and VFDs
* Practical, hands-on mindset with a commitment to learning and development
* Willingness to travel and work on customer sites across the UK
