Position: Part-time Literacy Support Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Literacy Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde (FY6). This part-time role provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in a primary setting to make a positive impact by supporting students with additional needs in their literacy development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored literacy support to students in a classroom setting
* Collaborate with the teacher to plan and deliver literacy lessons
* Work with individuals or small groups of students to improve their reading and writing skills
* Monitor and assess students' progress in literacy and provide feedback
* Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualised learning plans for students
Requirements:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Previous experience working with children or young adults
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm and patient approach when supporting struggling students
