Job overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide secretarial support within the Child and Adolescent Service within Children & Young People’s Division based at Talarfon, Bangor.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. The candidate should also have excellent keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Office Package. The post holder will be expected to undertake a variety of duties within the role.
A good telephone manner is essential. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Main duties of the job
The CAMHS Receptionist/Single Point of Access Administrator will provide an efficient and flexible secretarial service to the CAMHS Multi-Disciplinary team. This will include processing referrals, typing, electronic diary management, and arranging appointments. The post-holder will also be expected to undertake reception duties. By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other visitors to the unit, in person and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times. The Admin Manager is generally available for reference.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* Good general education in Maths and English. NVQ level 2 or evidence of continuous ongoing learning. Typing RSA Stage III or equivalent qualification/experience.
Experience
* Significant secretarial experience, copy typing, ability to support and deliver to deadlines on a wide range of administration processes, minute taking experience.
* Experience of working within the NHS hospital environment, experience within a busy office environment, audio typing.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Ability to prioritise workload. Competently, effectively and professionally communicates both verbally and in writing with a range of stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills, to function efficiently under pressure and to meet deadlines. Able to use word/excel/outlook competently and to manage electronic diaries effectively.
* Knowledge of PIMS/WPAS/ORACLE, knowledge of medical terminology.
