We seek a well-qualified, able and inspiring Teacher of English. The successful candidate, who will teach all ages and ability ranges throughout the school, will join an expert department at an exciting moment in its history as we reconfigure the delivery of English across all year groups. The post-holder will inspire in our students a love of literature and a scholarly approach to the academic discipline of studying English.
The successful candidate will join an expert and highly experienced department teaching small classes. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Head of English for the quality, success and development of their teaching, all routine activities throughout the working week relating to their teaching and providing feedback on any pupils in their care.
Many of our full-time teachers act as tutors in one of the boarding houses, thereby making a significant contribution to the pastoral care of our pupils. In addition to this, it is hoped that the successful candidate will contribute in some capacity to our sports and co-curricular programme.
