Premises Support Assistant - Hannah Ball School

Salary details: Salary (actual): £22,149 - £23,690
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, rostered between 7:00am – 6:00pm
Work Pattern: Term Time + Inset Days and 3 weeks during school holidays = 42 weeks

We are looking to appoint a full-time member to our Premises team to support on all facilities matters across the school.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure the security of The Park Federation Academy Trust buildings and grounds;
2. Maintain and repair fittings, furniture, minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains, repairing door furniture;
3. Maintenance and decorate certain aspects of the buildings, e.g., painting interior and exterior areas of the building;
4. Operate heating systems for the site;
5. Cleaning internal and external areas of the site;
6. Porterage duties;
7. Collect and assemble waste for collection;
8. Clean windows and glazed areas in accordance with the Trust's safety policy;
9. Work with the Premises Team in maintaining a rigid system to monitor all works carried out by contractors and to keep a log of any works carried out by themselves;
10. Cover lettings, allowing access and egress to the premises and checking that the areas are returned in the same condition as they were let;
11. Assist in establishing cleaning procedures, rotas, and standards through hands-on supervision of cleaning staff in order to achieve efficient and required levels of service and cleanliness;
12. Assist with ensuring internal and external security requirements are followed by the cleaning team;
13. Cover for the key holder as required;
14. Support the Premises Team in monitoring the performance of contracted staff, and to report any concerns.
General
1. Maintain confidentiality in and outside the workplace;
2. Support the implementation of academy policies;
3. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils;
4. Be aware of and understand safeguarding protocol and procedures and the importance of taking appropriate action;
5. Attend and participate in meetings and training opportunities;
6. Carry out any other reasonable tasks/duties as required by The Trust in accordance with the needs of The Trust.
