About us
Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are a key part of the NHS long-term plan. They provide the structure and funding for services to be developed locally in response to the needs of the patients they serve. There are four GP practices which make up Ashfield North PCN and by bringing general practices together to work at scale, practices can make improvements to the recruitment and retention of staff; better manage financial and estates pressures; provide a wider range of services to patients and more easily integrate with the wider health and care system.
Ashfield North PCN serves a patient population of around 52,000, comprising four GP practices, all of which are accredited training practices. The individual practice list sizes range from approximately 9,000 to 18,000 patients. All practices use SystmOne.
