Excited at the prospect of running the marketing for a number of b2b awards and specialist conferences?
Do you have exhibition and/or conference marketing experience? (driving attendance)
Want to work for a mid-size media/events company which will give you the support and freedom to make your mark?
Can you work from their Uxbridge offices 4-5 days a week?
If yes, please read on...
The Company
An established, and highly respected media and events business within the IT and tech sectors. They have leading b2b news-led websites, awards and invitation-only conferences. Every opinion counts and they have a friendly and collaborative working culture. Whilst most staff work in the office 5 days a week, there is a little flex if someone has a long commute.
The Role of Event Marketing Manager
As Event Marketing Manager you will take ownership of the marketing of around 12 events per year, which are a combination of awards (where your marketing would help drive award entries and table sales) as well as invitation-only conferences (where your marketing efforts would help drive attendance).
You would also work closely with the sales team supporting them with sales collateral, as well as building partnerships with any relevant media/PR agencies.
You will have support of a CMO but also a lot of autonomy in the role and can therefore really make your mark. The company has exceptional first party data (so you will really be able to exploit email marketing channels) and a strong social following for b2b social activity. You may also be asked to help with promotion of their other solutions as times as well.
Requirements for this Event Marketing Manager role
* 18+ months conference or exhibition marketing experience (must have)
* The confidence to take ownership of the event marketing activities for the company
* High level of articulation, confidence and education
* Ideally a marketing degree
* Able to commute to Uxbridge at least 4 days a week, but ideally 5 days
If you feel that you tick the above requirements, please apply!
