We have an exciting opportunity to join Group Print and Operations as a Distribution Senior Supervisor, where you'll be part of a dynamic team ensuring our examination material reaches our learners all over the world.
About the role
As a Distribution Senior Supervisor in our Post Exams department, you will oversee a dedicated team and coordinate the processing of assessment-related materials. In this role, you will ensure accuracy, quality, and confidentiality while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Health, Safety, and Wellbeing: Actively support and promote our Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and programmes.
* Confidentiality: Maintain the integrity and availability of all materials, both physical and electronic.
* Team Coordination: Plan and schedule team activities, liaise with stakeholders, and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
* Performance Management: Conduct employee appraisals, identify training needs, and lead your team to success.
* Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain professional relationships, provide guidance, and respond to queries.
* Budget Assistance: Assist with planning departmental budgets and provide data for forecasting.
* Documentation: Contribute to the management and maintenance of departmental documents and procedures.
* Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging idea generation and acknowledging achievements.
You may be required to work additional hours or shift patterns during peak periods.
About you
You will have a strong educational background and a solid understanding of health and safety policies and procedures. Experience in a production or distribution environment and familiarity with SLAs and benchmarks would be advantageous.
You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally have experience with database systems and possess excellent time management skills, a high attention to quality, and the ability to develop and maintain clear procedures. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
We are looking for someone with proven conflict and change management skills, who can motivate and lead a team effectively. The ability to plan and prioritise work, analyse and interpret data, and work to strict deadlines and SLAs is crucial.
