Part time Early Years Learning Support Assistant - Bristol, BS11 (Shirehampton / Lawrence Weston)
Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work with 2 / 3 year old pupils in a mainstream nursery / primary school in North Bristol - BS11. You will be supporting children to read, write, communicate and socialise with their peers, actively engaging with pupils, to empower them and facilitate inventive and creative lessons.
Part time - Wednesday - Friday, 8:15 - 3:45 (21 hours per week)
Term time only including INSET Days
Salary £24,404 - £25,992 FTE - actual salary £11,913- £12,689
Maternity Cover contract
Based in Bristol - BS11. Easily accessible by public transportResponsibilities of the Early Years Learning Support Assistant role
Ensure that all the children are given the best opportunities to play and learn during their time at school - this may include pupils who have Special Educational Needs.
Provide a higher level of learning support to children either on an individual or group basis
Plan and teach resources and assess pupil's progress in learning
Support in the implementation of strategies to manage pupil behaviour, including the consistent use of rewards and sanctions
Communicating pupil's achievements or any concerns about pupil conduct to the EYFS Lead
Providing intimate care on a regular basis.About You - We're looking for someone who:
Has prior experience and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage - nursery assistant etc
Can demonstrate understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones.
Has the energy and creativity to inspire and motivate children
Is able to model grammar and punctuation in Standard English, both written and spoken.
