Here at the James Paget University Hospital what matters to you, matters to us.
Our hospital believes in community and that meeting the needs of our local population and our staff is of equal value.
We are not simply trying to sell you a job, we are offering you an opportunity to make a leap of faith and to move to our award-winning countryside and coast for an improved quality of life and to work in a hospital that cares and supports, not only the needs of its community, but the needs of its staff.
Main duties of the job
We have band 6 positions available and offer flexibility to enable you to balance your home life and your work life.
If you join our team as an experienced band 6, you will not only enjoy a robust induction package, but you will be afforded full rotational opportunities. If you have particular career aspirations, we want to hear them and support you to develop in your chosen direction.
About us
This is an exciting time for our maternity services team, and this role will enable you to be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated service. As a rotational midwife, you could be asked to work in delivery suite, MLBU, antenatal/postnatal wards, antenatal clinic, triage, or community settings depending on service needs.
We have recently introduced the ground-breaking Birmingham Symptom Specific Obstetric Triage System (BSOTS). This new system is designed to prioritise care based on clinical needs, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
Additionally, we are looking to introduce a 24-hour triage telephone line for any clinical concerns regarding the health of expectant mothers/pregnant people or their babies. This line will serve as a direct contact to professional care, where patients can be assured of receiving the necessary support and attention.
