JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: North West England, Lancashire, Thornton Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: 1. Providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom. 2. Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). 3. Supporting the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment. 4. Helping students to engage with the curriculum and participate in classroom activities. 5. Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour. 6. Collaborating with other professionals, such as therapists and social workers, to support students' development. Required Qualifications: - Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN - Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education: - GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths Experience: - Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: - Understanding of the needs of students with SEN - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs - Strong organisational skills Preferred Qualifications: - Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - Additional training in SEN support Working Conditions: - Working hours: Full-Time - Temporary position - Classroom environment within a school setting All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
