Job Title: Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate/Assistant & Advanced also considered)
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Salary: £45k-£55k per annum (based on experience) £45k-£55k depending on experience, we are looking for an intermediate person looking to progress

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct visits to proposed construction projects and meet with stakeholders.
2. Manage the full estimating process from initial enquiries to tender adjudication and submittal.
3. Estimate from first principles, including producing Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Work.
4. Perform site surveys and analyse project plans and specifications.
5. Extract relevant information from drawings and tender documents to calculate costs for materials, plant, labour, and sub-contract packages.
6. Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
7. Prepare tenders for adjudication with directors and submit final tenders.
8. Address post-tender queries and provide value engineering proposals.
9. Provide commercial support on live contracts, including pricing variations, preparing valuations, and assisting with subcontract procurement.
Requirements:
1. Strong background in the construction industry with experience in social housing, hospitals, and government projects. FRA, M&E and General building experience would help.
2. Excellent knowledge of estimating processes and project management.
3. Knowledge of Passive Fire Protection would be a bonus.
4. Proficiency in reading and extracting information from drawings and tender documents.
