Our client, a long-standing manufacturing firm based in Stockport, is currently recruiting for a self-managed and dedicated Planning Coordinator to join their Business Improvement team to help manage orders and production, ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained and maximum efficiencies achieved.
This role is well suited to someone who works well under pressure, likes to think about how things could be improved and is looking for a role they can grow with long-term.
Job Description
Key duties will include:
* Processing daily orders from customer service teams
* Checking existing stock inventory and allocating to orders
* Coordinating forward orders with suppliers and production teams
* Processing incoming orders to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
* Helping to manage workloads to assist with capacity planning
* Communicating with other departments regarding order changes and delivery timescales
* Responding to update, shipping and general information requests in a timely manner
* Using spreadsheets to capture and analyse trends
Person Specification
Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a planning, project coordination, scheduling or similar role
* Ability to handle high levels of data using Excel or Google Sheets, with good numerical and maths skills, and attention to detail
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills
* Ability to prioritise a busy workload independently and work well under pressure
* Able to cope well with change and strive for continuous improvement
In return, the company offers a salary of up to £30,000 plus an annual profit share bonus, competitive pension scheme and excellent benefits package. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.30pm, and 9.00am-5.00pm on Fridays. You will work from their offices in Stockport for 3 days per week and may work remotely for 2 days per week. Flexibility to support peak periods is required.
