Role: Engineering and Motor Vehicle Technician
Location: Central Beds - CBC Luton Road Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary from £22,734 DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an Engineering and Motor Vehicle Technician to join our Engineering department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Engineering and Motor Vehicle Technician, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Assisting students to carry out practical tasks in both the motor vehicle and engineering workshop and complete necessary paperwork to support the assessment process.
* Preparing resources for lessons with guidance from tutors.
* Assisting the HoD and teaching staff to prepare risk assessments for activities and workshops.
About You:
* Science background – qualification at level 3 in a science subject.
* Ability to carry out research on the internet.
* Ability to work from manuals and keep records.
* Knowledge in all areas of COSHH regulations.
* Previous practical experience in a laboratory environment.
* Good team working skills.
* Good written and oral skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Driving license - Ability to drive the college minibus is desirable but not essential.
