Our Client’s Pooled Funds Operations team is seeking an Analyst to provide operational oversight of their global pooled funds. This role combines hands-on problem-solving with strategic collaboration, enabling you to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective management and operations of these funds.
What You Will Do
* Subject matter expert in collective investment vehicles including Irish UCITS.
* Act as the go-to resource for inquiries related to pooled funds, liaising with investment managers, custodians, fund administrators, and internal teams on funds domiciled in the EU, Cayman Islands, US, and Canada.
* Leverage your deep knowledge of fund structures to advise on best practices for fund setup, transitions, and ongoing operations.
Fund Operations Oversight
* Collaborate with the Invest Managers, Product Management, Legal, and Transitions Management teams on new fund launches, terminations, and restructures.
* Solve complex problems relating to tax, fund accounting, and operations.
* Analyse of distributions, expenses, implication of large client redemptions, tax considerations, accrual rates, and others operational matters.
* Support regulatory filings, due diligence inquiries, and reporting requirements.
Relationship Management
* Manage third-party relationships including custodians, fund administrator and management company.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams to ensure effective operations of the pooled funds to ensure seamless coordination across functions.
To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills;
* At least 2 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations, or investment management operations
* Experience with EU (in particular Irish UCITS funds), US and Cayman funds is preferred
* Strong knowledge of accounting concepts (ex. net asset value, fund distribution, financial statements)
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications with a focus on Excel
* Proven analytical experience in modelling large volumes of complex data
* Excellent writing, listening and presentation skills with a proven ability to disseminate information effectively to other employees at all levels of the organization
* Well organized with strong attention to detail, able to focus on multiple priorities for extended periods of time and is capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines
* A natural talent for creative and independent thinking; continuous learner, always looking for ways to improve
* Enjoys challenging work in a close-knit team
* A university degree (or similar) in a relevant field such as Economics, Commerce or Accounting
