Electrical Shift Technician needed on nights in London
Shorterm Group are looking for a Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Shift Technician in Central London.
Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: City of London
Working hours: Nights (2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off / 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on) 14 days out of 28 days rota
Pay Rate: Contract - £29.63 per hour via an Umbrella Company
We are seeking Facilities Management Mechanical Maintenance Engineers for an exciting new opportunity to work for a group of public spaces within the City of London.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspection and Testing: Regularly inspect and test electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential issues or signs of wear and tear. This includes checking wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, and control panels.
2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems when they occur using electrical testing equipment like multi meters to identify faults and determine the best course of action for repairs.
3. Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment, including replacing faulty wiring, switches, outlets, or circuit breakers.
4. Upgrades and Installations: Install, upgrade, or modify electrical systems and equipment as needed.
5. Electrical Safety: Enforce and adhere to safety procedures and regulations to prevent electrical hazards.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
7. Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and respond quickly to electrical issues that pose an immediate threat to safety or the operation of a facility.
8. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to proactively identify and address potential issues.
9. Calibration: Calibrate and maintain electrical measuring instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy in testing and troubleshooting processes.
10. Compliance: Stay up to date with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
11. Equipment Inspection: Periodically inspect and maintain electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors.
Qualifications/Technical skills:
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience with Electrical maintenance.
2. Electrical installations qualification - Preferably 18th edition.
3. Good understanding of modern building control systems.
4. Experience using Word, Excel etc.
