We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity to join our esteemed team at the Bury Care Organisation's Respiratory and Sleep Service. This role offers you the chance to pursue a fully funded apprenticeship leading to a Master's degree (MSc) in Advanced Practice over a 24-month program. Upon successful completion, the position will advance to an 8A grade.
We are seeking Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners with clinical experience in respiratory and sleep care who are eager to elevate their careers in this vital field.
In this position, you will collaborate with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team under the guidance of Respiratory Consultants and our Nursing leadership team, focusing on enhancing patient outcomes through exceptional, patient-centred care.
To be considered for this role, you must possess proven experience in your clinical specialty and demonstrate the motivation required to embrace the responsibilities of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
The successful candidate will initially receive remuneration at Band 7, with progression to Band 8A upon completion of the MSc in Advanced Practice. We look forward to welcoming a dedicated professional to our team.
Main duties of the job
Join our Respiratory and Sleep Service as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP).
We're seeking a passionate and skilled healthcare professional with a strong clinical foundation in respiratory and sleep medicine. You should be committed to providing excellent patient care and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake a significant respiratory and sleep clinical caseload to an advanced professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience.
2. Assess referrals from both ED and GPs with medical colleagues or independently and make onward referrals.
3. Be responsible for patients admitted to Medical Assessment Unit and Respiratory ward accompanying the consultant/registrars on post take ward round, completing jobs and ongoing reviews.
4. Work within the four pillars of Advanced Practice and maintain a portfolio of evidence to enhance personal and professional development.
5. Be involved in supporting and teaching of others including Junior Drs, colleagues, nursing staff and trainee ACP's.
6. Actively participate in planned developments working on projects, audits, self-development and enhancing own clinical skills and knowledge.
