Job Brief:
An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and growing company as a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and supporting the finance team with day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping or accounts, embodying our values of performance, integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
* Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
* Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
* Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets.
* Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Support the Finance Manager with various financial tasks and reporting.
* Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data reporting.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounts assistant role.
* Must have Xero/Quickbooks/Sage accounting software experience (or equivalent).
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the UK.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
* AAT qualification or working towards it is desirable but not necessary.
