EQUANS have an exciting opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Manager to join our team at Southern Water in Worthing, West Sussex. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What will you deliver?
* Reporting to the Account Director
* Implement energy & sustainable strategies across EQUANS Southern Water operations.
* Support the implementation of initiatives that align with Equans’ commitment to energy & environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical business practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure Equans remains at the forefront of sustainable practices within the FM (Facility Management) and Digital Energy Services (DES) business units.
* Implement long-term sustainable strategy that aligns with corporate goals within the sites allocated.
* Stay updated on government regulations and ensure all company practices meet or exceed mandated standards.
* Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to promote sustainability efforts.
* Monitor sustainability metrics and compile reports for senior management outlining the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
* Undertake an analysis of annual energy consumption, to improve energy & water efficiencies.
* Produce annual energy report summarising energy consumption for the previous years, forecast consumption for coming year and identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Provide energy management services, which have ENISO 50001 and EN ISO 14001 or equivalent accreditation.

Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an FM environment, but not essential
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as energy, sustainability environmental management/ science, business engineering.
* Good knowledge of energy, environmental regulations and sustainability standards, and reporting frameworks (e.g. ESOS (Energy savings opportunity scheme), SECR (Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting)
* Experience navigating & ensuring compliance with local, national energy/sustainability regulations is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to engage with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, regulatory bodies, and community groups
* Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Outlook
* Good communicator with strong inter-personal skills
* A full, valid UK driving licence is essential
