Once you have completed the course you will be a Band 5 Registered Nurse, School Nursing. Qualified Nurses can use the Return to Practice process to update their skills through placement-based learning and study. It leads to readmission to the NMC. Funding is available to undertake a Return to Practice programme through Glasgow Caledonian University. Following successful interview undertake and complete all required pre-employment checks including PVG Clearance from Disclosure Scotland and Occupational Health screening. Commitment to fulfil the programme and then remain within employment for a minimum of two years with NHS Orkney Be able to attend the academical theory element of the course without interruption, i.e., holidays. Our commitment to you Your course fees will be paid in full. This will be arranged on the first day of your programme. NHS Orkney will support you financially, meaning you will be paid as a Band 3 for the full duration of the programme. On successful completion of the course, you will be offered permanent employment this post Whilst awaiting your NMC registration, you will be paid as a Band 4 should you work in this period between course completion and registration. You will receive full academic and practical placement support. What happens next?
