.We are searching for a Receptionist Administrator to join our client, a business based in Blackburn, on a full-time, permanent basis. Private Healthcare (Bupa) - Available to staff. Free parking Workplace pension scheme What will be expected of you: Acting as the first point of contact for parents, students, visitors, and staff. Handling telephone enquiries, directing calls, and taking messages as required. Managing the reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and professional. Supporting student attendance, including collating registers and tracking absences. Issuing visitor passes, following safeguarding procedures, and ensuring compliance. Updating and maintaining school records (SIMS database). Coordinating mail distribution, deliveries, and school correspondence. Assisting with administrative tasks, including letters, reports, and general office duties. Helping with school events, photographers, immunisation visits, and general student support. Supporting the Senior Leadership Team and Office Manager with additional duties. The perfect candidate will: Have previous administration or reception experience (experience in education is beneficial but not essential). Be warm, personable, and professional, with excellent communication skills. Be highly organised, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases. Be able to prioritise tasks, remain calm under pressure, and problem-solve effectively. Have a keen eye for detail and be confident working independently. Hold a valid First Aid qualification (or be willing to complete training).
