An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ergonomist to join Manufacturing Engineering as part of the Airbus UK Team based in Broughton.
This is an opportunity to influence and drive change in an established wing manufacturing facility with Human Factors and Ergonomics being extremely influential within the manufacturing engineering department.
This role focuses on optimising human working conditions and the overall system performance for both existing and new manufacturing tooling and processes. If this sounds of interest, please don’t hesitate to apply.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
1. Perform ergonomics work analysis of Assembly / Installation activities and provide ergonomics recommendations to address any ergonomic associated risk factors.
2. Support building ergonomics action plans, suited to the industrial strategy and future evolutions, and validate it with the senior leaders.
3. Contribute to definition of specifications, call for tenders, and subcontractor piloting in the frame of Ergonomics related outsourced work packages on the specific site.
4. Ensure Ergonomics Tactical Implementation plan for the location is in place and maintained up to date.
5. Increase efficiency and minimise the negative impact of the work packages on both the human and the manufacturing systems through influencing product development.
6. Develop and drive strategic plans for ergonomic risk reduction interventions.
7. Anticipation of risk, application of theory, principles, data and methods to enable design that will optimise human health and overall production system efficiency.
ABOUT YOU
1. Educated to degree (or higher) level in Ergonomics/Human Factors (delivered by an accredited CIEHF higher education body).
2. Accredited to (or demonstrated working towards) Registered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) or equivalent.
3. Physiology experience including work analysis, knowledge on human cognitive behaviours.
4. A background in human factor sciences, work physiology, biomechanics, cognition.
5. Experience in identifying ergonomics risk factors in the workplace (e.g. process, workflow, work organisation); proposing risk mitigation solutions to management.
