We have a Systems Engineer role within Thales OME, based in Reading or Glasgow. The role may require some travel to other Thales sites, customer locations, or integration facilities.
As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to systems engineering design activities:
* Define system requirements for the product
* Create design documentation capturing systems engineering design
* Define internal and external interfaces of the system
* Develop test procedures for system verification
* Conduct integration and verification testing against test procedures
* Gather evidence that system requirements are achieved
The successful candidate should be an effective communicator with experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, defining systems interfaces, boundaries, and external factors.
Apart from being proactive with these skills, it would be beneficial if the candidate has experience with:
* Decomposing systems design to sub-system level
* Understanding systems modelling techniques
* Analyzing solutions against key needs in a design brief
* Using design analysis techniques (trade-off analysis, calculations, etc.)
This role reports to the Discipline Manager for Systems Engineering.
