A once in a lifetime opportunity to help deliver the worlds lowest carbon football stadium. Forest Green Rovers new home ground has secured full planning permission and is moving into the construction phase. We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager. You will be working closely with international architects Zaha Hadid and a leading team of specialists, to get the construction of this innovative and ground breaking stadium up and running.
Hybrid working is available for this position with a blend of home working and office time at our HQ in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Core Responsibilities
* Planning: Developing project plans and ensuring key milestones are met.
* Budgets: Creating and managing project budgets and schedules.
* Design: Acting as Client representative to project architects Zaha Hadid through RIBA Stage 4 and into Stage 5. Checking that the project design meets all necessary requirements and relevant standards published by, for example, The Sports Grounds Safety Authority and Football Association.
* Procurement: Managing the procurement process and making recommendations on contract strategy and the allocation of risk.
* Risk management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and working with external Risk Engineers to de-risk the innovative construction methods and ensure the project can secure insurance.
* Insurance: Work with our insurance brokers and internal insurance lead to secure competitive construction insurance.
* Communication: Facilitating clear and effective communication between Ecotricity/FGR, architects, engineers, subcontractors.
* Documentation: Ensuring all documentation is maintained and controlled.
* Reporting: Internal progress reports to Directors.
* Construction Design Management Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
* Supply Chain: Develop an understanding and relationship with key parties in the supply chain, including industry bodies such as Structural Timber Association and meet planning obligations to use local suppliers and labour where possible.
* FGRFC: Work closely with the Club to ensure that the design continues to meet needs and aspirations.
* Support the Construction Project Manager when appointed.
Essential Skills
* 5+ years' experience as a pre-construction project manager for major sports projects.
* Ideally degree qualified, within a relevant field.
* Professional accreditation is an advantage.
* Strong experience coordinating projects through the RIBA design stage 4/5
* Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget constraints.
* Excellent organisational skills
* Good communication abilities
* Possess a full driving license and be willing to travel
