Role Description: The client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial aspects of various projects, with a focus on managing NEC contracts, budgets, and subcontractor relationships. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of key projects while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities: Administer NEC contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring compliance and effective communication. Manage contractual variations and event management processes, including early warnings and compensation events. Provide commercial guidance and resolve issues in collaboration with project teams. Interpret and apply NEC principles, advising stakeholders on risk and opportunities. Evaluate subcontractor applications, certify payments, and manage financial submissions to clients. Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives. Liaise with legal advisors to ensure contracts meet required standards. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Skills & Experience Required: Proficient in NEC3/4 contract administration and principles. Relevant professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIPS) is desirable. Experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors is essential. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Bachelors degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management software.
