Main duties of the job
In this role, you will work closely with the antimicrobial stewardship and research teams, collaborating with senior pharmacy staff to ensure effective delivery of medicines management and infection management. You will play a key role in supporting ward-based activities, dispensary services, and driving the antimicrobial stewardship agenda. This includes conducting medicines reconciliation, supporting patients in safe medication use, and participating in the development of strategies to manage antibiotic use within the Trust.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a background in hospital pharmacy, and a passion for innovation in antimicrobial stewardship. Proficiency in IT systems, experience in delivering patient-centered care, and an ability to work collaboratively across departments will be essential. Additionally, previous experience in research, auditing, or contributing to service improvements is advantageous, as this role involves supporting research initiatives that contribute to the Trust's vision of advancing healthcare outcomes through evidence-based practices.
