What this role is about:
Airbox is growing and we have great plans for the further development of the business. A key piece in the Airbox puzzle is its people and our growth includes them. The People Director will be responsible for leading the overall people strategy and People functions, ensuring that the company attracts, develops and retains top talent. The PD will work closely with the CEO, COO and other executive leaders to foster a positive and inclusive company culture, align People initiatives with business goals, and drive organisational effectiveness.
We’re looking for this role to be 2-3 days per week, initially for a 12 month period but it is likely that this role will be required longer term.
What you’ll do:
* Partnering with the CEO/COO to develop Airbox’s strategic People, culture, and capability plan; using data-driven insights to ensure alignment with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives. You will support and oversee the implementation alongside our People Partner.
* Supporting the Executive Team hands-on, driving initiatives, and resolving grievances; providing strategic input on organisational design, workforce planning and talent management.
* Overseeing the People Team to ensure seamless hiring of top talent and high talent retention; developing strategies to ensure high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
* Refining performance management to foster a high-performance culture.
* Enhancing leadership and people manager capability through coaching.
* Preparing for growth by shaping the broader People agenda as part of the Destination for Talent programme of work; this will include competitive compensation and benefits programmes, an EDI strategy, early years programmes and talent development plans for optimal skills and expertise across the business.
* Resolving complex employee issues while maintaining a positive work environment.
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
* All of our colleagues have to pass an NPPV3 clearance; you can find out more about it here but a key feature is having the last 3 years living in the United Kingdom.
* Be eligible for work in the UK; we are unable to offer sponsorship.
* Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role with the ability to influence at all levels and drive change at a quick pace in a scaling business.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance in the UK.
* Demonstrated success in developing and implementing people strategies that drive business results.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive leaders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform HR decisions and present at Board level.
* A proven track record of automation of processes to enhance efficiencies and support intelligent data gathering.
* An understanding of the wider motivations of a diverse team and experience in implementing strategies to harness these to the best effect.
* Experience of supporting hiring, supporting and scaling international offices.
* Passion for fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

* Your experience is in Technology; SaaS in particular.
