The Centre for Assessment (CFA) team have an exciting new opportunity for a Certification Manager. In this role, you will develop, manage and maintain all CfA's UKAS accreditations and ensure all certification audits undertaken comply with accreditation standards.
CFA is a leading UKAS-accredited certification body specialising in providing assessment, certification, and training services to thousands of clients both nationally and internationally. With over 20 years’ experience in the assessment and certification industry, CFA works in partnership with a highly skilled team of Auditors and Assessors to provide a client-focused, value-adding service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Make certification decisions for all accredited certifications, ensuring CfA and UKAS brand is used correctly and as authorised.
2. Develop, maintain and continually improve CfA’s Quality System, including systems, policies and procedures in line with accreditation requirements.
3. Implement systems, processes, procedures and recruit technically competent personnel when working with new international standards.
4. Provide technical support, advice, and guidance to CfA’s Business Development and Customer Services teams and advise the Service Director on the effectiveness of the Quality System.
5. Be the main point of contact for all Auditor technical queries and questions on accredited certifications, including managing and leading Auditor and Technical Advisor meetings.
6. Maintain the impartiality of CfA services including co-ordination of Management Review and Impartiality Committee meetings, providing, populating, circulating, and storing information required by the Committees.
7. Develop and maintain the system to allocate new audit work to competent Auditors and offer support where necessary.
About You
1. Well organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
2. Previous experience in a customer service certification environment.
3. Some experience working for a UKAS-accredited certification body within the certification team.
4. Lead Auditor for one or more of the main management system standards: ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS, ISO 45001 OHSMS and/or ISO 27001 ISMS.
Skills Required
1. Lead Auditor trained for ISO 9001.
2. Experience and training in ISO 17021 and ISO 17065.
3. Some experience working for a UKAS-accredited certification body within the certification team.
4. Ability to relate to people at all levels.
5. Technical knowledge and qualification i.e. IEMA, IOSH or QPC – desirable.
6. Attended Internal Auditor training.
