We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our team in Prestbury, Cheshire. In this live-in role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex health needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The role involves a shift pattern of 1 week on and 1 week off, delivering 24/7 care.
Main duties of the job
The Spinal Injury Support Worker will be responsible for delivering personalised care and support to clients with complex health conditions, assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Job responsibilities
You will be a part of a team delivering 24/7 care by means of Live-In with 1 week on and 1 week off as a shift pattern. You will start on a Saturday at 08:00 and leave the client's house on the following Saturday at 08:00.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalised care and support to clients with complex health conditions.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
* Valid UK driver's license.
