Lake District Hotels is seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our Head Office Finance team on a one-year maternity cover contract. This role offers a £31,000 salary plus a bonus at the end of the term in recognition of your contribution.
The ideal candidate will have accounts experience and a proven track record in a similar role, preferably within the hotel sector. Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines are essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Completing month end payroll, including checking and inputting data into payroll system, adjusting payroll for HMRC tax coding notifications, checking compliance with NMW, SSP and SMP and production of all payroll reports and reconciliations.
* Bank Reconciliations for all accounts including analysis of banking, investigation of discrepancies and reporting to Group Financial Controller.
* Sales ledger management, working collaboratively with hotel reception staff.
* Month end accounts preparation to include, preparation and input of payroll journals, intercompany payroll journals, prepayments, bank reconciliations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Accounts experience and an AAT3 qualification with a proven track record in a similar role.
* Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong numeracy, data entry, record-keeping, and accounting skills.
* Proficient in IT, with good interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
