Job summary Hardwicke House Group Practice located in Sudbury are looking for a newly qualified GP under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract for 4 sessions per week. The successful candidate will benefit from working as part of a supportive and positive practice team, in addition to the help and guidance we provide to our own colleagues, we are a training practice and regularly host trainee placements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. Main duties of the job Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Providing health education. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. About us We operate across four surgery sites and overall we employ over 80 staff.We have 7 partner GPs, 6 associate GPs, 2 advanced nurse practitioners, 2 PCN community paramedics and a well-established nursing team. We also benefit from PCN clinical pharmacists, a pharmacy technician, first contact physios and a team of social prescribers and care coordinators.
