We are looking for a Project Manager – Mechanical (Data Centres) to join our team at Telehouse, London.
Working as a Project Manager – Mechanical (Data Centre) you will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager responsible for the project, effectively and professionally lead the day-to-day management, within a medium to large scale multi-disciplinary data centre project. The specific scope discipline includes design, procurement, installation, logistics, compliance, commissioning, and project handover, within the Skanska construction team. You will ensure the delivery to time, commercial performance, governance, and Skanska values are met during all phases of the project’s delivery to the satisfaction of the client.
What you'll do:
* Ensure full compliance of design, engineering, construction, and commissioning processes.
* Add value to the design process by challenging solutions, methods, and techniques where appropriate to deliver works within the contract programme, improve buildability and reduce whole life costs and carbon.
* Develop and administer controls on the project or workplace and ensure full implementation and compliance.
* Understand, develop, scrutinise, deliver, and monitor end-to-end programme. Responsible for creating Plan Bs in relation to specific package responsibility.
* Project specific BEP, DFMa strategy and strategic use of technology available in maximising the use of digitalisation.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Appropriate knowledge and experience to manage multiple disciplines/interfaces and work sequencing.
* Proven track record in successfully delivering medium to large scale data centre MEP contracts.
* Formal H&S training accreditations, minimum SMSTS.
* Proven track record in leading teams and projects.
* Experience and knowledge in relation to the correct testing and commissioning of the specific package management.
* Have used appropriate project controls to oversee successful major project delivery.
* Strong understanding and experience of the type of work carried out in the data centre market.
