Equans is looking for a CAD Operator to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Auto CAD Operator performs a variety of design/drafting/space planning, room moves and lighting configurations activities including:
* Preparing/updating installation drawings for projects
* Preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings
* Establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management
* Managing workload distribution within the CAD department
What will you deliver?
* Survey and update existing ‘as built’ drawings
* Convert drawings to DWG format
* Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with other teams
* Ensure documentation is held for all aspects of the O&M manuals
* Update and maintain electronic filing systems
* Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation for future reference
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items
* Establish filing guidelines for drawings
* Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance

Who are we looking for?
* Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail
* Asset management experience
* Able to interpret complex sketches, notes and technical information
* Electrical qualifications to NVQ level 3 or higher
* CAD designing experience
* Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent
* Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings
* Able to work alone effectively and as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to think laterally and creatively
