We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician role at HMP Lewes to join our team. HMP Lewes is a local category B mens prison for those on remand to local courts, sentenced and those awaiting release.

Hours
over 4 days, on a 2-weekly fixed rota. The rota is agreed ahead with the tech and so, can organise time out of the office quite nicely. It includes 1 weekend in 2 and the team cannot work more than 6 days in one run.
Salary
This position is full time hours a week and youll receive an annual salary up to £33,454 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
1. Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
2. Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
3. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
4. You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
5. Share Information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

Qualifications required
13. NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
14. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
15. Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
16. Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
17. General GCSE education or equivalent
18. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
19. Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
