Role Description
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our used car dealership. The ideal candidate will be experienced with various mechanical work, capable of working with a team, making quick decisions, and excited about helping us keep our vehicles running smoothly for many years to come. A proven track record of working in a demanding environment. The candidate will be able to carry out their own repair diagnostics, service vehicles, repair MOT advisories, repair clutches & gearboxes, and timing chain replacement, engine repairs and replacements, suspension and much more.
Qualifications
* Experience in mechanical repairs
* Carrying out a repair diagnostic
* Experience in repairs of clutches, gearboxes
* Experience in engine repairs, including timing chain replacement, head gasket replacement, and rebuilding of engines
* Experience in repairing MOT failure and advisory components
* Carrying out health checks and servicing of cars.
* Be able to work under pressure at a high rate of speed.
* Have a passion for cars.
* Read, understand and follow blueprints and diagrams.
* Be able to work as part of a team.
* Be able to read and understand English - only basic English is required.
* Be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Understand the importance of safety practices.
