The successful candidate will gain an insight into the industry by undertaking a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship whilst carrying out work across the department. We are looking for candidates with positive, enthusiastic attitudes who demonstrate commitment to learning new skills, can use their initiative in challenging situations, identify creative ways to solve problems and can communicate with colleagues and customers alike. About You You will develop the skills to:
* Assist with and support first line management with operational and project responsibilities
* Provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals
* Support, manage and develop team members, manage projects, plan and monitor workloads and resources, deliver operational plans, resolve problems, and building relationships internally and externally
* Build trust with and across the team, using effective negotiation and influencing skills, and managing any conflicts. Developing your ability to input to discussions and provide feedback (to team and more widely), and identifying and sharing good practice across teams. Building relationships with customers and managing these effectively.
* Communicate effectively (verbal, written, digital), chair meetings and present to team and management. Using active listening and providing constructive feedback, You will need to be able to provide evidence of Maths and English qualifications at grade C/5 or above on request - Please ensure you specify these grades in your CV/ supporting statement
* Successful candidates must be committed to attend college either in person or via online learning to obtain the Team Leader Level 3 apprenticeship
* You will need to be a minimum of 16 years old by August 31 2024. There is no upper age limit
