Job Summary
CDG-Europe is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization committed to leveraging data to drive strategic decisions. We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team and help us harness the power of data visualization and analysis to enhance business performance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and efficient BI solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BI design, development, optimization, and administration, as well as strong expertise in BI development and integration.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Power BI reports and dashboards.
* Develop, test, and deploy Power BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
* Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using various data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, Web Scraping, JSON, APIs, and cloud services.
* Create and maintain complex DAX queries to support dynamic and interactive reports.
* Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
* Train and support end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices.
* Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI dashboards and reports.
* Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Stay updated with the latest BI tools and features, and industry trends to leverage new capabilities.
* Engage with the business to identify key data sources, collate, cleanse and store data in a data warehouse.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX.
* Intermediate/Advanced Power BI skills such as Row-level security, and advanced navigation using bookmarks and selections.
* Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
* Experience with SQL and querying relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to corporate applications (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
* Good team player with the ability to also work on own initiative.
* Prioritization and organization skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Have an awareness of the functions, operations, and technology employed within CDG-Europe.
* Strengths in logical analysis, and an ability to think creatively to deliver solutions.
* Skills in adapting, multi-tasking, and troubleshooting.
