Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our new day nursery opening early 2025. The ideal candidate will need to be qualified in childcare level 2 or level 3, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities.
We are seeking someone who wants to grow with the nursery, developing their skills with the possibility of promotion and career development.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive environment.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
* Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development in line with early years frameworks.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that encourages exploration and learning.
* Drive initiatives that foster teamwork among staff members while promoting positive behaviour among children.
* Support the leadership team in implementing policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children and parents.
* Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children while fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
* Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and encourage collaboration among team members are advantageous.
