An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Health Care Support Workers to join a new dynamic team in Same Day emergency Care (SDEC), Withybush General Hospital. Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) enables patients (aged over 18) with common medical conditions to be assessed, diagnosed and treated on the same day. This should enable the patient to then 'sleep at home in their own bed' and avoid unnecessary hospital admission. SDEC is a rapidly growing service that aims to reduce hospitalisation for patients in Pembrokeshire. This is a developing service and we are searching for motivated and enthusiastic individuals. Main duties of the job We are a supportive, dynamic and empathetic team optimising our Health Board values at all times. As a unit we focus on a robust multi-disciplinary approach to ensure patients have the best possible outcome whilst in our department with a home first approach. The MDT are enthusiastic about improving the hospital experience for our patients with the aim for patients to return to their own homes the same day. Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
