Job Details: Drug and Alcohol Recovery Worker
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
About the role...
We are excited to offer a role for a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Coordinator to join our Horden team. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you will:
1. Manage a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
2. Facilitate and promote the progression of individuals from initial engagement into structured treatment.
3. Support clients in various treatment stages, from initial assessment to exiting treatment, accessing sustained recovery and aftercare.
4. Contribute to reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm; however, you will be required to work one Saturday morning (09:00-12:00) in a 3-month period.
About you...
Some experience working with vulnerable adults, a genuine interest in being part of the mission and vision of Humankind, experience of working/volunteering with adults at risk related to drug/alcohol use, passion towards helping others, strong communication skills, and a driving licence is preferred but not essential.
