One of our key Building Services contracts is with the MoD on a huge base near Watford, where we deliver hard, soft and technical FM services to our onsite client and within the technical services team we seek a SCIDA Team Leader to join the team.
This crucial role will see you take responsibility for Communication Infrastructure System (CIS) site wide data and configuration management as well as overall engineering drawing management for the Northwood site.
What you’ll do:
* Line Manage the service teams delivering the SCIDA, Configuration and drawing management.
* Undertake the role of the Site Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) including the managing of the CIS Team in support of this function.
* Develop, implement and update service specific strategies, systems & procedures for compliance with the contract requirements and mitigate operational risks.
* Display a sound knowledge of the contract requirements appertaining to the services managed.
* Prepare and provide management reports for the services managed.
* Attend management meetings with the Authority and project teams.
* To ensure that services are operating efficiently to the agreed standards.
* Achieve performance targets for compliance, commercial, and staffing aspects.
* Liaise with the Authority and other service delivery teams for the delivery of works activities; provide technical advice and support on SCIDA related matters.
* Effectively manage staff and sub-contractors ensuring work is carried out in line with the company procedures, statutory and Authority requirements.
* Initiate, co-ordinate and implement induction, training and development of all staff for the services managed.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* HNC or equivalent in a CIS or electrical/electronic engineering discipline.
* Attended MOD CIDA and Tempest courses.
* Experience in a similar role.
* Excellent team working and problem solving capabilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Excellent communication and customer care skills.
