What you’ll do
As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be the primary health and safety support for a VBTS UK dedicated account.
This is a key role to Vodafone Business Technology Solutions and the individual is the first point of contact for the dedicated account to provide competent advice in relation to health and safety with the aim of preventing harm to VBTS UK staff, subcontractors, client personnel and other third parties
You will need to understand the individual customer, contractual and regulatory requirements in relation to the different activities being undertaken across the dedicated teams and projects and provide customer support as required through contractual commitment.
When in role, you will work alongside the dedicated account and project teams to ensure they are operated in line with company procedures and legal minimum requirements. This role will also provide Subject Matter Expertise on auditing / authorising 3rd party contractors for appropriate and safe delivery of accountabilities, CDM responsibilities and Environmental reporting.
Who you are
1. Knowledge of Health Safety, Environment Law, including Construction (Design & Management) Regulations.
2. Experience in Safety Management System delivery and monitoring.
3. Experience in Safety Systems of Work, generation, delivery, and monitoring.
4. Self-development: Staying updated with new legislation and maintaining knowledge of HSE and EA legislation affecting Vodafone and customers.
5. Self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision, and build positive relationships with team members, suppliers, and customers.
6. Strong written, verbal, digital communication, and diplomacy skills for exchanging complex information.
7. Full UK Driving License
8. Must be eligible for SC Clearence
Preferred to have technical / professional qualifications:
9. NEBOSH diploma or equivalent / NVQ Level 5 or higher
10. NEBOSH General with Construction Certificate will be considered if support with relevant experience /covering letter.
11. SSSTS, SMSTS, CSSNG (LATS) or equivalent
