Our client, a prominent and innovative firm specialising in chartered accountancy and business advisory services, is on the lookout for a proactive and commercially minded Internal Audit Assistant Manager/Manager to join their expanding team.
Role Overview:
As an Internal Audit Assistant Manager/Manager, you'll be instrumental in helping a range of organisations-particularly those within the public sector, education, charity, and not-for-profit arenas-enhance their risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks. This position offers a mix of responsibilities, including leading audit assignments, offering strategic advice, and building strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take charge of internal audit assignments, ensuring thorough and high-quality deliverables ready for senior-level review.
* Conduct internal audits either on site at client locations or remotely.
* Present audit findings and provide strategic recommendations.
* Work closely with clients to design and implement audit plans, including defining the scope, scheduling, and setting clear deliverables.
* Manage your own workload and oversee junior staff, ensuring all work is completed within the allocated budget.
* Contribute to business development by participating in client meetings, networking events, and other marketing activities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about internal audit and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. You should bring:
* Credentials: ACA, ACCA, or IIA qualification (essential).
* Experience: Solid experience in planning and executing audits of varying complexities (essential).
* Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
